This lovely detached 150 year old traditional stone built cottage sits near to Widdale beck, with glorious views across the village green to the dales beyond.   'Bridge End Cottage' has been fully renovated and equipped to a very high standard, offering excellent comfortable accommodation for 4 in two bedrooms.        Providing an ideal base for an enjoyable and relaxing dales holiday.

Appersett is a tiny hamlet in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, ideally situated less than a mile from the historic market town of Hawes, considered by most to be the capital of the dales.       Hawes (15/20 minutes easy stroll) offers a choice of 4 local pubs, numerous shops and restaurants, along with many popular attractions, including the Dales Country Museum and Wensleydale Cheese Visitor Centre.

There are lots of nearby easy walks, with England's longest single drop waterfall, 'Hardraw Force' just over 1/2 mile away, behind the Green Dragon Inn (a steady 15 minute stroll).       The more energetic may like the challenge of the famous 'Yorkshire Three Peaks' of 'Pen-y-ghent', 'Whernside' and ' Ingleborough'.        For those wishing to view the scenery at a more leisurely pace, the Settle to Carlisle railway can be boarded at Garsdale Head, some 5 miles from Appersett.

There are many visitor attractions throughout Wensleydale; to the east the picturesque waterfalls of Aysgarth and the market towns of Leyburn and Middleham.  North over the spectacular Buttertubs Pass brings Swaledale, and historic Richmond with its Castle and museums.  Between the two dales is the town of Askrigg used in the TV series ' All Creatures Great and Small'.
